The Blade

Two hooded figures emerge on stage through a dark haze set to gothic church bells and an ominous choir. They uncloak themselves to reveal…two white cis-male improv comedians.

Check out Kyle Irion and Andrew Miculka in their electrifying and hilarious two-man improv show. Featuring special guests!

Friday, January 2, 8:30 pm, ColdTowne Theater: Tickets

Caleb Elliott

Caleb Elliott is a new face to the 2026 Moontower Comedy Festival Austin comics roster, but he's been making plenty of national waves. He regularly opens for Leanne Morgan (who happens to be one of our favorites long before her current Netflix special and show glow-ups) and he's the youngest person to release a Dry Bar Comedy Special. Don't miss this one.

Friday-Sunday, January 9-11, Cap City Comedy Club: Tickets

Derek Kopswa

It's no secret—I stan Derek Kopswa and his bride Ilana Cuomo. It doesn't happen often enough that Derek gets to headline, but this is his second headlining run at The Velv and we've had this date on our calendar for months. Kopswa is part of the pre-pandemic scene. I've gotten to watch him grow up from a new-to-Austin comic in the mid-2010s to becoming a consistent performer delivering the funny in an ever-changing scene.

Friday January 16, The Velveeta Room: Tickets

Cowboy Cavalcade

Kyle Irion (he's everywhere this month!) and Xander Noland are troupe mates on Come @ Me (a personal favorite improv show and Sam's January recommendation below) every Saturday night, but for a special limited run, you can also see them as a sketch duo bringing the best of spaghetti western vibes. You'll laugh, you'll cry (with laughter), you'll see Larry McMurtry and Billy the Adult, you may even see their horses (not guaranteed) bring laughter and fun to the western desert.

January 24 and 31, 7:00 pm Fallout Theater: Tickets

Come @ Me

If your New Year’s resolution is to expand your social media reach, there’s no better way to do so than through improv comedy “inspired by your Instagram”.

Watch an all-star improv ensemble (including the aforementioned Kyle Irion) investigate your digital footprint in the funniest way possible, and be prepared to explain your New Year’s Eve party posts.

Saturdays, 8:30 pm at Fallout Theater: Tickets
